Speaker Series
Our Speaker Series Events have two sub-categories: Alumni Edition and Corporate Edition. During our Alumni Edition, we have past InnoGators members come and speak to current members about their journey throughout their undergraduate careers at UF. Our Corporate Edition is an informal meeting with representatives from companies who share their experience in industry and give advice to the general body.

SIFT X InnoGators: Python Workshop 1
We partnered with the new engineering consulting club, SIFT, to teach the basics of python programming through a discussion about syntax and an interactive example.

SIFT X InnoGators: Python Workshop 2
This was a similar format to the first workshop, but covered more intermediate topics.

Design Thinking
In this workshop we taught our members the ins and outs of the engineering design process. Getting comfortable with this process makes it a lot easier to approach challenging engineering problems.
|
Internet of Things
The Internet of Things (IoT) is the name for the rising trend of internet-connected devices and sensors. In this workshop we explored common applications, how to make your own device, and how we use it in the club.
|
Professional Development
This workshop was intended to give people insight about internships and research opportunities. We provided guides on how to get interviews, make a fancy resume, talk to recruiters and polish your LinkedIn.

3D Printing 101
This was a Valentines-Day themed workshop we co-hosted with NSBE to teach people about CAD and additive manufacturing. Through some fun icebreakers and interactive discussions, everyone left learning a little more about how to think in 3D. Attendees got to design their own 3D printed key chain for their valentine.

Speaker Series: Dr. Pamela Dickrell
Dr. Dickrell, the professor for Engineering, Design, and Society, and a sponsor for our Smart Grinder project, came to talk to us about her course and her research findings. She also gave her insight about life after graduation and her path to her current position. If you ever see her on campus, try to have a conversation with her. She's one of the best professors at UF! |
